Day one of the Vikings’ mandatory minicamp allowed for many firsts to be seen by both the media and coaches who were there and the fans on social media. There was a lot to look for and keep track of, which is where we come in.
We wanted to do our best to share what we thought were some of the best sights and sounds from the Vikings’ first day of their mandatory minicamp. Thankfully, no one missed out because they were somewhere else. Despite some missing out due to injury, they were still present on the sidelines.
We saw several players return from injury and make some moves on the field, such as Christian Darrisaw and J.J. McCarthy. The media was also treated when speaking to players like Josh Metellus, who offered up some updates on his contract and his new quarterback. All of this happened on the same day that Josh Oliver got his new extension.
