Alums of ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘The Voice’ engaged

In a match made in reality TV heaven, Tyler Norris, who romanced Rachel Recchia on The Bachelorette in 2022, has found love with Alyssa Sheridan, who auditioned on The Voice in 2015, are engaged.

“Well I’ve been dreaming of this day since the day I met you,” he captioned a series of photos and video that showed him proposing and her accepting. “You’re everything I could have ever asked for and more. How I got so lucky to meet you still doesn’t make sense to me. I love you more than I can explain Lyss, now let’s do this damn thing future Mrs. Norris!” He signed it, “Your Fiancé.”

The clip appears to show Sheridan being tricked by Norris — in a good way! — into thinking that they’re shooting a promo on the beach. After she delivers her line, he breaks the news that they weren’t actually doing that. She still seems confused as he takes her hands and says, “I can’t explain to you how much I love you.” Sheridan cries, and the whole scene would fit right in on The Bachelor franchise.

“I said a prayer years ago and I said, ‘God, please put somebody in my life that’s gonna be with me forever,'” Norris told his sweetheart. “If I had known then that person was gonna be across the country, I would’ve left way earlier. I spent 26 years of my life without you in it, and I don’t think I could go another day without you in it. So, Lyss, I wanna ask you: Will you marry me?”

She was only too happy to accept.

“I still feel like I’m dreaming… a life with you is all I’ll ever need,” Sheridan commented. “I love you endlessly babe. Mrs. Norris has a nice ring to it.”

Speaking of rings, Sheridan told Norris that hers was “so pretty.”

Norris has had plenty of time to learn from the show about romantic gestures, as he competed not only on season 19, when he was eliminated ahead of the hometown dates, but also on Bachelor in Paradise.

Meanwhile, Sheridan attempted to turn the chairs of coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Pharrell Williams during a Blind Audition in season 9 of the vocal contest.
