Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was originally scheduled to speak with reporters during spring workouts this past Tuesday.
But according to Fox 19’s Joe Danneman, the Bengals pushed the session back a week.
It turns out the Bengals were perhaps getting out in front of something big.
Rather than Burrow going back-and-forth with reporters in a typical fashion, a disgruntled Trey Hendrickson showed up on the practice sidelines in street clothes and talked for more than 20 minutes about his contract standoff with the team.

There, among other things, Hendrickson expressed disappointment with the overall situation and revealed that a text message from Zac Taylor prompted his interview.
Burrow, meanwhile, took part in what appeared to be a standard practice.
Why the Bengals and/or Burrow pushed back the interview will continue to be a topic of discussion. Maybe it was a formality for totally normal reasons. Or perhaps the team didn’t want him addressing the Hendrickson situation just yet.
The wait for the Burrow presser won’t be long though, as it currently sits scheduled for Tuesday, May 20 — and we all know some of the questions headed his way.
