‘MobLand’ Star Lisa Dwan Announces Death of Dad on Father’s Day

Lisa Dwan has announced the death of her father.

On Sunday, June 15, the MobLand star revealed the sad news that her dad Liam Dwan died on Father’s Day as she shared an emotional tribute to him on Instagram, alongside several photos.

The post included a couple of shots of Lisa, 47, embracing her dad, the pair sitting together outside on a sunny day and her and Liam smiling and holding ice-cream cones while standing by the sea. 

“Liam Dwan always knew how to make an entrance and today on Father’s Day of all days, an exit. My Dad 1939 -2025 RIP ❤️,” Lisa wrote in the caption.

On her Instagram Stories, Lisa continued to pay tribute to her late father, as she posted a video of a panning shot of a pond in a field under a sunny blue sky, with the words, “RIP DAD 💙.”

The Irish actress previously shared a sweet photo of her 3-year-old daughter Luna in an earlier post on her Instagram Stories, with the little girl’s face painted like a butterfly on a day out together. 

Lisa stars as O’Hara Delaney in the crime drama series MobLand, alongside Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The show premiered March 30 on Paramount+. 

The actress welcomed her first child, daughter Luna, with her partner Paul on Aug. 23, 2021, according to an Instagram post.

Lisa met Paul at Jermyn Street Theatre in London during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and announced that they were expecting their first child together the following year, per The Guardian.

“I fell in love with my life again here [in London]. I also fell in love and developed a relationship [with Paul],” she told the outlet in a 2021 interview.

The actress said ahead of becoming a mother, “I am not underestimating what this life change is going to be and I’m fully prepared for it.”

“I’m ready to make this little being my focus but I don’t think it would be doing her a service if I lost ‘me’ in that altogether. I have a duty to keep both hearts beating,” Lisa added.
