Duke Blue Devils Turn Heads With New Post Featuring Cameron Boozer originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Duke Blue Devils’ men’s basketball roster will look considerably different this fall than it did this past season when many picked them to win the NCAA championship.
Star forward Cooper Flagg, big man Khaman Maluach and sharpshooter Kon Knueppel are headed to the NBA draft. However, they have gotten commitments from Dame Sarr, Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer, and fans are excited to see what some are calling one of the school’s best recruiting classes in recent memory.
On its official Instagram account, Duke basketball posted a photo of Cameron and Cayden Boozer, as well as their father Carlos, who is a former NBA player.

Carlos Boozer played 13 seasons in the NBA, six of them with the Utah Jazz, and he was named to the All-Star team during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. He was originally drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 2002 draft, and he ended his career with averages of 16.2 points and 9.5 rebounds a game.
He played his college ball at Duke, where he won a national title in 2001 and was named the MVP of the ACC tournament the following year.
Cayden Boozer is a 6-foot-5 point guard who attended Columbus High School in Miami. He is a four-star recruit and is considered a tenacious on-the-ball defender who is also a good facilitator.
Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9 power forward, is a five-star recruit from Columbus High. He has reliable hands and can score out of the low post, and he has the potential to become a good perimeter shooter.
He’s also a powerful rebounder and a skilled outlet passer, and he has some potential on the defensive end and even as someone who can up-tempo the game and run the fast break.
